We love sport at East Boldon Junior School! Here are some images of our 2017-2018 teams:
“Advantage, Year 3”
Our Year 3 pupils are being taught Tag Rugby skills and are improving every week! They have learned the basic skills of passing, scoring tries and tagging opponents safely.
The Year 3 pupils are having tennis lessons with Boldon Tennis Association coaches in school. They have been improving their hand-eye coordination by a series of games. This activity involved throwing the ball over the net and catching the tennis ball between two cones. Lots of fun!
Sir, yes, Sir!
Our Year 4 classes have been having football lessons with Major Maguire. They played games that helped them to improve their passing, moving and communication. The pupils loved pretending to be soldiers too!

Cross Country 2016 – 2017
Our fabulous cross country team, made up of Year 4 and Year 5 children, competed in difficult conditions at Temple Park. The course was approximately 0.7 miles for Y4 and 1.4 miles for Y5. All children performed brilliantly and had smiles on their faces throughout. They cheered not only our own school but others too – superb attitude as expected!
There were around 40 children per race and our children finished very highly! Remarkably Sharna finished 4th and Charlie picked up Silver with a second place finish.
Well done everyone we are all proud of you Keep up enjoying your exercise, fitness and sport!
